This edition of the IN-SITE 2021 series was the fifth webinar that ES has hosted this year. As ES has done with the previous four webinars, the Fall Edition of the series was anchored around the theme of Starting Your Own Trucking Business.
Jason Williams, the President and Co-Founder of ES, and Jeff Tacker, the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer of ES, served as the panelists for the webinar. Jason and Jeff were joined on the webinar by Leah Shaver, the President and CEO of the National Transportation Institute, who served as the moderator. Leah, who is a host on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio Channel 146, was on camera from her NTI studio, while Jason and Jeff joined the webinar on camera from the headquarters of ES.
The approach the group took with the webinar was to make it a conversation that would allow them to examine the trends that have taken place within the trucking industry so far during 2021. The group focused specifically on issues impacting aspiring trucking entrepreneurs and current small trucking business owners. As viewers of the replay will see, this edition of the webinar covers a number of top topics that are a part of today’s trucking landscape, including what’s happening in the new truck market, access to financing and freight trends in the coming year.
The Fall Edition of the IN-SITE 2021 Webinar Series also provided Jason and Jeff the chance to talk about the truck ownership opportunities and support available through the ES Community. As you can see through the webinar replay, Jason and Jeff, in responding to the questions and points that Leah raised, were able to compare and contrast the challenges new owner-operators who obtain their own authority can face versus new business owners who are members of the ES Community.
The webinar discussion offered an opportunity for Jason and Jeff to detail how the comprehensive set of programs and service offerings available through the ES Community work to position owner-operators, independent contract drivers and fleet owners for success in today’s trucking industry.

ES recently welcomed Tom Parker as the newest member of the ES Truck Sales Team. The addition of Tom to the team led by ES Director of Truck Sales & Finance Danny Vernon is part of the company’s ongoing work to be responsive to the members of the ES Community and to everyone interested in the offerings from ES. In this edition of Spotlight News, we will be sharing the latest on a nontraditional lease-to-own program that ES has developed in collaboration with Panther Premium Logistics, a Service of ArcBest. Through this program that was launched earlier this year, Panther and ES are able to offer professional drivers the opportunity to achieve true truck ownership with access to competitive market-rate financing while receiving the full support of two of the most respected organizations in the trucking industry.
The nontraditional lease-to-own program from ES and Panther is another example of the commitment that ES has made to ensure that professional drivers Never Stand Alone. Jason had the honor of being the first guest as Radio Nemo kicked off its special coverage of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2021 with a series of feature interviews. As one of the flagship programs on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio, the Dave Nemo Show is a must-listen for professional drivers. With over 50 years as an on-air radio host focused on trucking, Dave is a legend in both the radio and trucking industries.
Jason’s Driver Appreciation Week appearance on Radio Nemo marked the second time that he has been interviewed by Dave.As you can hear through the radio replay podcast featured within this edition of Spotlight, Dave asked Jason about the history of ES and why ES has chosen to place an intense focus on the needs of professional drivers who are aspiring entrepreneurs as well as owner-operators and fleet owners who are seeking to enhance and grow their trucking businesses.
It was clear that prior to the interview Dave had spent some time on the ES website, as he referenced a number of key points from ES programs, and Dave took a moment to highlight the ES company motto, Never Stand Alone! At one point in the interview, Nemo called the offerings from ES the ultimate business-to-business model.
The interview time on Radio Nemo during Driver Appreciation Week gave Jason the opportunity to share the high level of care and appreciation that Jason and the entire ES Team have for professional drivers and entrepreneurs working to build small businesses in trucking.
