Celebrating Our Nation’s Independence & The Opportunity To Pursue The American Dream

June 30, 2022

The arrival of the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend serves as a reminder that the freedom and liberty we enjoy as a nation and the ability to pursue the American Dream began with the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

There is a true historical significance to the celebrations and fireworks that will be taking place across the country. Spotlight News, to commemorate America’s 246th birthday, wanted to get some perspective on what July 4th means to the ES Team and to the ES Community.

Understanding that the doors to the American Dream began to open with the Declaration of Independence that we celebrate each Fourth of July, Spotlight News asked Jeff Tacker to join us for a Success In Trucking Podcast Interview. Jeff serves as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Commercial Officer and the Executive Vice President for ES.

During his podcast interview, Jeff looks back at the brave actions that our nation’s Founding Fathers took with the Declaration of Independence as well as how the doors of opportunity opened up in America because of those first steps in 1776. Jeff also takes time during the podcast to share some words of wisdom from the author who first coined the phrase the American Dream.

Jeff Tacker

Through this edition of the Success In Trucking Podcast, Spotlight News marked the occasion of commemorating the Fourth of July to ask Jeff about the work that the ES Team does each day in assisting members of the ES Community to realize their goal of becoming independent within the trucking industry and launching a business in the pursuit of their own American Dream.

“We truly admire and appreciate, understand and respect the independent contract drivers, the owner-operators and the fleet owners who are a part of our ES Community,” Jeff observed. “It’s truly amazing the work that these professionals do out on the road in their businesses each day. You have a lot of guts and a lot of nerve, and you have to have a lot of independence to get on a truck and go across the country and stay out there.

“It’s both rewarding and exciting for our team at ES to be able help the members of the ES Community in their efforts to achieve success in trucking and do what they want to do to go after their American Dream.”

~ Jeff Tacker

“It’s a real honor for our entire team at ES to have the opportunity to walk alongside the people who are part of the ES Community, making sure they Never Stand Alone,” Jeff added, reflecting on the spirit of independence and the American Dream. “It’s both rewarding and exciting for our team at ES to be able help the members of the ES Community in their efforts to achieve success in trucking and do what they want to do to go after their American Dream – pursuing that dream the way they define it, the way they want to do it and how they want to do it.”

The Success In Trucking Podcast interview also provided Jeff with the opportunity to share a reminder about the upcoming Expedite EXPO and the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo, July 15-16, in Fort Wayne. Ind. If you would like to learn more about what will be taking place in Fort Wayne, we invite you to visit our IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo Registration Page. Webinar Replay – 2022, It’s All About You: Highlighting Panther Premium Logistics & Exploring Truck Ownership Opportunities

June 22, 2022

Were you able to join ES for the fourth edition of our IN-SITE 2022 Webinar Series? The webinar was entitled 2022, It’s All About You: Discussing Truck Ownership Opportunities & Spotlighting Partner Carrier Panther Premium Logistics, A Service of ArcBest. ES held the live event on June 21, and the company recorded the webinar to share on demand.

The latest edition of the IN-SITE 2022 Webinar Series examined the current conditions related to truck ownership and starting a trucking business, including discussing the availability of equipment in today’s market. This webinar also highlighted the strong working relationship that has been built between ES and Panther Premium Logistics. The webinar spoke directly to the interests of trucking professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs who are considering opportunities in the expedited sector of the industry.

Panther Webinar

The panel for this edition of the IN-SITE 2022 Webinar Series featured two of the key people overseeing the recruiting process at Panther Premium Logistics. Frank Tufano, the company’s Director of Owner-Operator Recruiting, and Cory Robertson, Account Manager-Fleet Recruiting, provided a detailed look inside the opportunities that are available at Panther as well as how the Panther team works to support trucking professionals running under Panther’s authority.

Frank and Cory also discussed Panther’s collaborative initiatives with ES over the years as well as how ES and Panther work together to support independent contract drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners utilizing the programs available from ES. One of the programs discussed during the webinar was the revolutionary non-traditional lease-to-own program that ES developed in collaboration with Panther Premium Logistics.

The ES Team was represented on the webinar panel by David Withers, Senior Director of Operations and Recruiting for ES, and Danny Vernon, the Director of Truck Sales & Finance at ES. David, with his experience in operations and recruiting, spoke to the overall scope of the offerings available from ES while also highlighting the strong working relationship with the team at Panther. Meanwhile, Danny served as a great resource for discussing the current state of equipment and the truck market while also addressing truck financing from ES.

This edition of the IN-SITE 2022 Webinar Series was moderated by Leah Shaver, the President and CEO of the National Transportation Institute (NTI). Founded in 1995, NTI has earned the reputation as a leader in the trucking industry for tracking company driver and owner-operator compensation history, changes and benchmarks. Leah, who also serves as a host on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio Channel 146, is one of the foremost experts in the trucking industry on topics related to compensation, driver recruiting and driver retention.

Throughout the webinar, Leah guided the panel through a number of timely topics that spoke to the interests of a very attentive live audience. Leah also incorporated nearly all the questions asked by the live audience, which sent questions through the chat portal on the webinar platform. The questions allowed the panelists to go into greater specifics on the programs available from ES and Panther, and the responses by the panelists promise to be of great interest to viewers of the webinar replay.

As you will see near the conclusion of the replay, the timing of this webinar is especially ideal for anyone who is interested in attending the upcoming Expedite Expo, which will be held July 15-16 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind. Both ES and Panther Premium Logistics will be on the ground at the Expedite Expo with company representatives and dedicated booth space.

As we have shared in previous editions of Spotlight News, ES is serving as the presenting sponsor at this year’s Expo, and ES will have the largest booth presence at expedited trucking’s most prestigious annual gathering. ES will also be hosting the IN-SITE Dinner At The Expo at the event on the evening of July 15. We encourage you to register for both the Expedite Expo and the IN-SITE Dinner At The Expo.

ES is proud to have Stoops Freightliner serve as the Title Sponsor for the IN-SITE 2022 Series.

Have You Registered For The Expedite Expo & The ES IN-SITE Dinner At The Expo?

June 1, 2022

As the calendar turns to June and as the final countdown to this summer’s most important event in expedited trucking begins, the team at Spotlight News has two very important questions to ask you.

First of all, have you filled out the free registration and made your plans to attend the 2022 Expedite Expo, which will be held in Fort Wayne, Ind., July 15-16? Our second question centers around the main event ES has planned for the 2022 Expo. For anyone planning on attending or considering joining the ES Team for the ES IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo, ES would like to know if you have registered for the free dinner ES is once again holding at the Expo. Would you like to be a part of this ES IN-SITE special event? You can register for the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo within this edition of Spotlight News.

The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne will serve as the host site for the 2022 Expedite Expo, and Expediter Services will once again this year be serving as the presenting sponsor for this annual event.

Last year, the Expedite Expo commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Expedite Expo, which has gained a well-earned reputation over the years for being a marketplace for the entire expedite industry – owner operators, drivers, carriers, and exhibitors – to come together, network and grow.

On Time Media, the company responsible for hosting and developing the programming for the Expedite Expo, has consistently pointed out through the years that the Expo is not just focused on the needs and interests of current drivers in the expedite sector. The Expo is also the place for new drivers and anyone who would like to explore the trucking industry and expediting, in particular. The Expedite Expo provides all people attending this free event with multiple ways to network and get a closer look at the opportunities within the expedited sector of the industry.

Members of the On Time Media Team, the company that owns and operates ExpeditersOnline.com, spent some time talking about some of the workshops and special programming that will be available during the 2022 Expedite Expo when they were featured in April edition of the IN-SITE 2022 Webinar Series from ES. If you would like to watch the IN-SITE webinar replay and get a preview of this year’s Expedite Expo from the On Time Media Team, please click here.

Connect With ES At The Expo

ES, in holding the position as the presenting sponsor of the 2022 Expedite Expo, will have the most notable booth presence on the floor of the show, and the company’s IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo will be one of the largest events that will take place during the run of the show.

People who make the trip to Fort Wayne to be a part of the Expedite Expo and the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo will quickly see the very welcoming atmosphere the ES Team brings to the company’s booth space and to the dinner event. The ES Team works to get to know everyone who visits with them – learning about their careers and goals within the business of trucking.

Anyone visiting with the ES Team on the floor of the show and the people attending the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo will have the time to learn about the comprehensive set of services and unrivaled advantages that are available when you become part of the ES Community. The ES Team will be available to answer questions about the programs available from ES, including how the company’s Path To Ownership program works. You can also learn about financing options for truck ownership and all of the discounts and comprehensive support that is available when you become part of the ES Community.

During the IN-SITE at the Expo Dinner, ES will be providing a delicious buffet-style meal with each attendee receiving a gift bag from ES at the door. At the dinner, those in attendance will have the opportunity to meet some of the ES Community members who have utilized the services and support from ES to build their own trucking businesses.

The ES Dinner at the Expo will feature insights from the ES Leadership Team on the state of the trucking industry and what’s on the horizon for the expedited sector of the industry. Attendees at the dinner will get additional expert perspective on what’s happening in expedited trucking as they will be hearing from a member of the On Time Media Team during the dinner program. Once again this year, ES has put together an impressive collection of door prizes that will be drawn and handed out during the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo.

The 2021 edition of the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo drew a total of 188 people. The ES Leadership Team is anticipating another large turnout for the 2022 edition of the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo. Company officials are making plans to welcome 200-plus people to this year’s event, and the ES Team is encouraging anyone interested in attending the Expedite Expo to register for the Expo, and ES wants you to register for the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo as well.

The ES Team wants to remind everyone planning to come to the Expedite Expo that the 2002 IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo is also a free event and, as we noted, space is limited. ES is currently taking reservations for the IN-SITE Dinner at the Expo through the form below on this page.
