Podcast: Nate Meyer From Stoops Freightliner Discusses COVID-19 Impacts & Adjustments Within New Truck Market
The latest addition to the IN-SITE 2020 Podcast Series’ list of offerings looks at what has been taking place in the new-truck equipment market during 2020. Our feature interview for this podcast will be with Nate Meyer, who is part of the Equipment Sales Team at Stoops Freightliner.
In addition to our conversation with Nate, listeners will also hear a segment with Jason Williams, the President of ES, and Jeff Tacker, the COO of ES. Jason and Jeff will be discussing the strong working relationship that ES has developed over the years with Stoops Freightliner and Truck Country – which stands today as the largest Freightliner dealer group in the United States.
With years of experience in both sales and maintenance, Nate understands the market and the considerations that come into play when considering the purchase of a new truck. As everyone in the trucking industry knows, 2020 has been a year filled with numerous twists and turns revolving around COVID-19 and the fallout from the global pandemic
During our IN-SITE 2020 Podcast interview, we asked Nate to look back at the first six months of 2020 and to discuss what he has seen in the new-truck equipment market. We also talked with Nate on some of the changes that Stoops and Truck Country put into place in response to COVID-19 across all areas of the dealership’s operations.
In looking at the remainder of the year and going forward into 2021, Nate walks us through some of the key questions that professional drivers and fleet owners need to ask themselves when considering the purchase of a new truck.
IN-SITE 2020 AUGUST WEBINAR REPLAY NOW AVAILABLE: On August 25, ES presented the second webinar in the IN-SITE 2020 Online Series, and we have made a replay of the live event available to you.
The webinar, entitled Trucking in the COVID-19 Era: Partnering with the Right Motor Carrier, highlighted how the partner carriers in the ES Community have adjusted to the challenges the industry has encountered so far during COVID-19. The webinar also examined the challenges and opportunities now found during these times for those professional drivers who are considering becoming owner-operators.
Leah Shaver, the President and CEO of the National Transportation Institute, served as the moderator for the expert panel discussion, which featured participation from FedEx Custom Critical, Forward Air and Panther Premium, a Service of ArcBest. All three motor carriers have established long relationships with ES and the ES Community. The webinar platform utilized by ES offers anyone watching the replay the opportunity to submit questions about what you are viewing and get answers back directly from ES.
Stoops Freightliner is serving as the title sponsor for the IN-SITE 2020 Online Series. ES will continue to post more podcast segments as we work to grow this series.
