Expediter Services Announces ES Market Branding Initiative & Launches New Website

May 2, 2019

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – May 2, 2019 – Expediter Services (ES), a leader in capacity solutions and ownership opportunities within the trucking industry, announced that the company is launching a branding initiative that includes a new website release. The website, which encompasses the company’s work in the expedited sector and general trucking, provides a comprehensive look at the broad scope of its offerings and services. Through the brand update, the company will now operate under the market name ES, which reflects the organization’s history and expertise within the expedited sector as well as its success and growth with tractor-based opportunities in general trucking.

The company’s new website, ESsuccessintrucking.com, offers visitors an easy-to-navigate platform to review the range of programs and services available from ES. As reflected by the name Expediter Services, the company’s initial focus began in the expedited sector of the industry, and the company has built a strong online brand presence through more than a decade of maintaining and growing its initial corporate website. In 2016, ES introduced its Success In Trucking brand with a website that focused primarily on tractor-based opportunities in the general trucking market, highlighting options that also became an area of rapid growth for the company.

The new ESsuccessintrucking.com website provides a platform that allows visitors to smoothly toggle between the company’s offerings within expedited and the opportunities that ES has developed within general trucking. The website details how those entering the company’s truck ownership programs have access to competitive market-rate financing which places an emphasis on work history over credit history.

Visitors to the new website can review equipment options and learn about the relationships that ES has established with some of the leading carriers and vendors in the trucking industry. The website, which also highlights the wide array of support services available to members of the ES Community, has been designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for professional drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners seeking to build and grow their respective businesses within the trucking industry.

“Our decision to place our offerings and support services for expedited and general trucking under one market brand name featured within a single, comprehensive website was driven by the overall growth of our company as well as by our desire to continue to the meet the needs of the participants in our program. The heart of our ES Community is made up of the people in our programs,” said ES President Jason Williams. “As a company with more than a decade of experience in transportation, we understand the importance of adapting to the opportunities in the market. The roots we planted within the expedited sector of the industry back in 2006 are still very strong, and our success as a leading resource for non-asset capacity has translated quite well to general trucking. Through our brand update and our new website, we believe we are well positioned for the future.”

A prime example of company’s expansion and the ability to grow capacity on both the expedited truck and tractor sides of the business can be seen in the success of the 150 Business Challenge, the collaborative initiative ES developed with the Women In Trucking Association to assist in launching 150 women-owned businesses in transportation. Utilizing the infrastructure and expertise that ES has developed in more than a decade of providing ownership opportunities within the trucking industry, the 150 Business Challenge surpassed the halfway mark in reaching its initial goal during its first year, as more than 75 new trucking start-ups began their respective operations with either expedited straight trucks or Class 8 tractors.

“Based on our experience in both markets, we believed that the 150 Business Challenge could be a success in opening new doors of opportunity for women while helping the industry move forward. This effort has also been an important step for us a company,” said Williams. “At the end of the day, whether we are working in expedited or in general trucking, we are a service company. We want to be of service to participants in the ES Community. We are invested in their success as they work to operate and grow their small businesses. Service, and working to assist all those in our program to find their success in trucking, is one of the key points we considered in updating our market brand.”

The ES brand, with its range of offerings and services, will be on full display during the company’s inaugural Success In Trucking Expo (SITE), which will be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway complex June 7-8. The event will be focused on highlighting truck ownership opportunities and providing insights from experts. Attendees will hear from experts discussing the latest trends taking place in the industry and offering strategies for successfully operating small businesses in trucking. ES has chosen Pro Football Hall of Fame member and entrepreneur Anthony Muñoz to serve as the keynote speaker for the event.

The SITE promises to be one of the most unique events on the trucking industry’s calendar. Not only is the company developing an expo program that is focused on being informative and fun, but ES is offering free hotel accommodations and free meals for pre-qualified expo registrants. A limited number of those slots are available for the event, and attendees receiving free hotel accommodations will be made from the registration submissions that have been pre-qualified by ES. The registration form and complete information on the event are available at SuccessInTruckingExpo.com.

“We’ve had a strong response in the weeks following our announcement of the SITE, and I would encourage everyone who is interested in truck ownership to consider joining us at the SITE in June. We’ve seen a great deal of interest from professional drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners who want to know more about our programs and the kind of support ES can bring to the table,” said Williams. “The entire team at ES is gearing up for the SITE and welcoming all those who will be joining us in Indianapolis. When you look at what we are doing with the SITE, our new website rollout and our brand initiative, it’s an exciting time for our company. We are very grateful for the growth and success that has placed ES in a position where our company can work to make a difference in our industry by providing opportunities and support to those who are looking to build and grow small businesses in trucking. We are looking forward to the future and being of service to everyone utilizing our programs.”

Expediter Services To Launch Success In Trucking Expo In June

January 25, 2019

Expediter Services (ES), a leader in capacity solutions and ownership opportunities within the trucking industry, is pleased to announce the company will present the Success In Trucking Expo (SITE) this June. The inaugural expo is set for June 7-8 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Complex.

Powered by the company’s proven track record and expertise, ES is committed to making the SITE a valuable and impactful annual event for professional drivers seeking opportunities in truck ownership. In addition, the event will also be focused on helping owner-operators and fleet owners upgrade and/or grow. The program format is being modeled after the successful series of ES events held during the past several years that focused on trucking’s expedited sector. While the SITE will touch on topics key to expediting, the new event from ES promises to take a broader look at the industry, placing a greater concentration on developments in general trucking – recognizing the growth the ES Community has experienced during the past three-plus years in the tractor-related service markets.

Since it entered the expedited market in 2006, ES has utilized a working model that focuses on removing the barriers that hinder professional drivers from becoming truck owners and operating their own small businesses. Through ES, qualified participants in the company’s programs have access to competitive, market-rate financing with a credit-evaluation process that puts an emphasis on attitude, aptitude, work ethic and work history. The ES model has proven to be an effective platform for contract drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners. Today ES is a leading provider of non-asset capacity within the expedited market, and the company’s platform is gaining traction within a general trucking market searching for tractor capacity.

“As ES has grown to gain a presence in general trucking, we began to look at the possibility of expanding the group gatherings we held beyond the expedited sector. As 2019 approached, we felt the timing was right to launch the Success In Trucking Expo,” said Jason Williams, President of ES. “In planning this event, we are being very intentional to give the SITE a feel that is different from the traditional truck shows on the industry calendar. The SITE will be a much more personal, hands-on event that will be focused on connecting with professional contract drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners who are either looking to take the next step in their careers and become truck owners, or they are looking to upgrade or expand their current operations. One of the most important features of the SITE will be the opportunity to meet members of the ES Community, including many of the success stories who have taken the steps to launch small businesses in trucking.”

The program format of the SITE, with its speakers, roundtable discussions and chosen topics, has been designed to share industry knowledge and practical experience to benefit the attendees as they look to build, upgrade and expand their businesses. The motor carriers and vendors participating in the SITE have been hand-picked by ES because of their desire to help the attendees in reaching their goals within the trucking industry.

Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer, a division of Truck Country, will be the title sponsor for the inaugural Success In Trucking Expo. The ES Community motor carriers participating in the SITE are FedEx Custom Critical, Forward Air and Panther Premium Logistics, a Service of ArcBest. These three companies will be the exclusive motor carriers at the SITE. Daimler Truck Financial, Detroit Diesel, Freightliner, Love’s Travel Stops, TA-Petro, TVC Pro Driver, Inc. and Western Star make up the current list of vendors that will be a part of the SITE. ES company officials note that other ES Community vendors may also be joining this year’s expo.

In addition to being surrounded by the history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the kickoff of the SITE will draw additional star power from the sports world with Anthony Muñoz serving as the keynote speaker on the opening night. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame following his 13-year career with the Cincinnati Bengals, Muñoz is considered to be one of the greatest offensive linemen in the history of the National Football League. A former NFL Man of the Year for his commitment to his community, Muñoz launched the Anthony Muñoz Foundation in 2002. The organization has raised over $10 million in support of children’s programs across Cincinnati and the surrounding region.

“We are quite thrilled and very grateful for the support we have received from the motor carriers and vendors in the ES Community participating in the first edition of the SITE. I know everyone who attends will find value in what our fleets and vendors will be sharing with them,” Williams said. “We are really looking forward to hearing the keynote presentation from Anthony Muñoz. We’re confident that everyone in attendance at the kickoff event for the expo will find the hard work and commitment that Anthony has used in becoming a champion both on and off the football field useful in their own lives. There are a lot of relatable lessons from his life experiences that apply to finding success as a business owner in the trucking industry. We also truly admire Anthony’s continued commitment to uplifting his community. At its core, the SITE is truly a gathering of the ES Community. We believe in supporting each other and uplifting our community members toward success.”

One of the unique features about the SITE is that ES is offering free hotel accommodations and free meals for pre-qualified expo registrants. A limited number of those slots are available for the event, and attendees receiving them will be chosen from the registration submissions ES receives. The registration form and complete information on the event are available at SuccessInTruckingExpo.com.

“We sincerely value the time and effort it takes for people who are involved in the trucking industry to come off the road,” Williams said. “We are looking forward to working with everyone who is interested in attending and going through the registration and pre-qualification process with them. We’re counting the days until June 7th. Our entire team at ES is committed to building the SITE into the place to be this June.”

Women-Owned Trucking Business Initiative Poised To Reach Halfway Mark Toward Achieving Initial Goal

December 19, 2018

MEMPHIS, TENN. DECEMBER 19, 2018

Expediter Services, a leader in capacity solutions and ownership opportunities within the trucking industry, is pleased to join the Women In Trucking Association in announcing that the collaborative initiative between the two organizations to create 150 women-owned businesses in transportation is on the verge of seeing 75 new trucking start-ups generated within the program. In reaching the halfway mark in a little more than a year following the program’s official launch at Women In Trucking’s 2017 Accelerate Conference, the 150 Business Challenge has become a proven platform that offers accessible financing as well as operational and business support for women who have an interest in a career path within the trucking industry.

Expediter Services (ES) first proposed the 150 Business Challenge to Women In Trucking last fall. The program, which utilizes the infrastructure and expertise that ES has developed in more than a decade of providing ownership opportunities within the trucking industry, immediately captured the interest of Forward Air and Panther Premium, a Service of ArcBest. These two leading transportation companies became the primary participating carriers for the program, and both carriers have benefited from the addition of non-asset capacity in a driver market that, according to the latest industry estimates, has a shortage in excess of 50,000 people behind the wheel.

The 150 Business Challenge follows the proven working model that ES utilizes in offering truck ownership opportunities and assisting the program participants in establishing profitable small businesses through a variety of support mechanisms found within the ES Community. Professional drivers interested in the ES truck ownership programs, like the 150 Business Challenge, go through a screening and qualification process, including an evaluation period. In addition to looking at work history, it is during the evaluation period program that participants are given the opportunity by ES to demonstrate their attitude, their aptitude and their work ethic. The company’s process for qualifying truck ownership program participants is unique because it places a greater emphasis on a driver’s work history over a traditional credit score. ES offers qualified participants competitive, market-rate financing for professional drivers seeking to own trucks from the leading equipment brands in the industry.

“We believed that the 150 Business Challenge could help to make a difference in our industry, and it’s been amazing to witness what has taken place in the past year. As an organization, we could not be more pleased with the results coming out of this program,” said Ellen Voie, President and CEO of the Women In Trucking Association. “The 150 Business Challenge has become a true source of empowerment and opportunity for women in the trucking industry. One of the obstacles that Women In Trucking is working to address is to get women involved as business owners in the trucking industry, and the 150 Business Challenge offers the ideal launching platform for those women who have the drive and desire to establish or expand their own transportation operations.”

“One of the founding principles of our company is to be of service and to provide opportunities to people. As we developed our truck ownership programs, we took note of the hurdles women have faced in trucking from a financial standpoint when looking to start a business. By working with Ellen and her team at Women In Trucking and by partnering with Forward Air and Panther Premium/ArcBest, we believed that we could help open the doors to more women-owned businesses while bringing additional capacity into the industry,” said Jason Williams, President of Expediter Services. “One of the most rewarding parts of the 150 Business Challenge for our team at ES has been the opportunity to work with the amazing people coming into the program. It’s been a thrill for us to see these small businesses get started, achieve success and grow.”

The small businesses that have been established through the 150 Business Challenge have developed a solid track record of success and growth. According to officials at ES, this group of small businesses started through the 150 Business Challenge are generating a combined revenue total well in excess of $1.5 million per month. Participants have their choice of operating their trucks within expedited, truckload or LTL through Panther Premium and Forward Air.

“ES has been the ideal partner for helping us bring the 150 Business Challenge to life and making truck ownership opportunities readily accessible for women. They are providing opportunities and options that best fit a person’s needs. What’s great about the approach that ES takes is that they offer a comprehensive set of services that are dedicated to ensuring the best opportunity for the success of small businesses. ES focuses on the bottom line, providing the kind of support that start-up businesses need to be consistently profitable,” said Voie. “ES goes well beyond financing the trucks and providing access to outstanding network discounts. What makes ES truly stand out is the commitment the ES team has to answering questions and to meeting needs of business owners. They truly care about the participants and the families in their programs. It’s been very clear to us since the 150 Business Challenge was launched that ES is sincerely invested in the success of everyone involved in the program. ES is dedicated to providing people with the opportunity to improve their lives.”

According to ES officials, while the program will close December with over 70 total start-ups that have utilized the 150 Business Challenge, the number of deals in the pipeline and the ongoing discussions with professional drivers interested in operating their own small trucking businesses have the program on track to surpass 75 start-ups in early January.

“As we begin our second year with this program, we’re ready for the continued growth we expect to see,” said Williams, who also serves on the board of the Women In Trucking Association. “For our team at ES, this a grass-roots effort that we approach one person at a time, one business at a time, one truck at a time.”
