Podcast: Jason Williams Shares Insights On RadioNemo
Courtesy of SiriusXM and Dave Nemo Entertainment, the Success In Trucking Podcast is able to share a replay of a recent Dave Nemo Show interview with Jason Williams, the Co-Founder & CEO of Expediter Services. As you’ll hear, Jason shares how the team at ES makes the effort each day to express their appreciation for professional truck drivers in the work that they do.
The owner-operators, independent contractors and all the trucking professionals who are part of the ES Community were placed in the spotlight when Jason Williams was recently interviewed on the Dave Nemo Show, which is nationally broadcast on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio Channel.
Jason, the CEO and Co-Founder of ES, was one of the featured guests on RadioNemo during the program’s celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
In an interview conducted by RadioNemo’s Jimmy Mac, Jason, capturing the spirit of the week, used the national platform that reaches 1.5 million listeners daily to note the value of owner-operators, independent contractors, small trucking businesses and all professional drivers to the transportation industry and the supply chain.
Jason shared that one of the ways ES has shown the organization’s commitment to professional drivers is through helping them realize the dream of ownership by working to remove barriers and by providing support services that are focused on placing ES Community members in the best position to succeed.
During the interview, you’ll get a glimpse into how Jason thinks about the importance of drivers in moving the country and how the success of ES comes from focusing on the industry from the truck level upwards. As Jason shares with Jimmy Mac and the RadioNemo audience, ES only succeeds if the people behind the wheel succeed. In addition, ES has aligned the organization in the manner so the company never loses appreciation for and understanding of the value that professional truck drivers have in the transportation industry and to ensure they a platform and the support necessary to become true truck owners and launch their own businesses.
Jason notes during the interview that someone running a business with their own truck has the same obstacles and hurdles to overcome as larger carriers do. However, unlike a large motor carrier, most small trucking operations have a steep hill to climb because they lack the resources to run their business as efficiently as large fleets. This is where ES serves as a champion for trucking entrepreneurs. Through the approach taken by ES, owner-operators, independent contractors and fleet owners, as members of the ES Community, have the resources and support to overcome the hurdles small operations encounter.
Partnership is the foundation to Success in Trucking for professional drivers. As Jason shares during his interview, ES recognizes that finding the road to success in trucking is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It must be tailored to each member of the ES Community. Owners need to have partnerships that encourage and assist with operational matters, but also that challenge how they’re thinking about their business based on their expertise. At the end of the day, ES is here to provide opportunities and support for those who are interested in making the commitment to owning a truck or running their own small fleet.
If you’re interested in a partnership that can take your trucking business to the next level, reach out to the ES team at (877) 349-9303. ES is a one-stop support company with expertise in financial services and technology, relationship lending, and general business support.

The arrival of the Memorial Day Weekend on the calendar provides an opportunity for everyone in our nation to recall the service and sacrifice of our country’s veterans and their families. This time of year is summed up quite well by a quote that can be heard often at Memorial Day services around the country. “All gave some, some gave all.”
As ES and the ES Community commemorates Memorial Day 2022, the sacrifices by veterans and their families in defense of our country were brought into perfect focus for several members of the ES Management Team during a trip in mid-May to an event supporting veterans and their families.
The non-traditional lease-to-own program from ES and Panther stands as another example of the commitment that ES has made to ensure that professional drivers Never Stand Alone.
ES President and Co-Founder Jason Williams led a group from the company who made a trip to the Atlanta area to be a part of a charity fund-raising event supporting Hope For The Warriors, which is a non-profit organization. The mission of Hope For The Warriors is focused on helping those involved with military service to “succeed at home by restoring their sense of self, family, and hope.” Hope For The Warriors is a national organization that provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement and connections to community resources.
As the Memorial Day Weekend approached, Spotlight News had an opportunity to talk with Jason for the latest edition of the Success In Trucking Podcast, Powered By ES. During the podcast, which you can access on this page, Jason talks about the experience of making the trip to an event that was centered on giving back to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans and their families.
Jason and the group from ES joined this effort to support Hope For The Warriors at the invitation of Forward Air, one of the carrier partners in the ES Community. Forward Air, through its Operation Forward Freedom initiative, had partnered Hope For The Warriors prior to 2020 and the two organizations had planned a fund-raiser to support the Drive For Hope, which is one of the transition programs offered through Hope For The Warriors. The Drive For Hope is an innovative program that is dedicated to restoring driving independence to wounded service members through adaptive driving and rehabilitation.
Prior to the COVID global pandemic, Forward Air and Hope For The Warriors had planned to hold the Drive For Hope in 2020. As Jason shares during his podcast interview, the leadership of Forward Air never wavered in their dedication and commitment to making the Drive For Hope a reality. As the pandemic eased and the world found a new normal, the Drive For Hope was rescheduled for a date that fittingly ended up being some 10 days prior to Memorial Day.
The two-day event, which included a dinner and silent auction followed by a day of golf, was a smashing success. Those who attended the event got an opportunity to meet officials with Hope For The Warriors as well as spend time with veterans and their families who are benefitting from the organization’s programs. The attendees at the event also were able to meet and spend time with a collection of former professional athletes who were there to support Hope For The Warriors. Johnny Bench, the Baseball Hall of Fame catcher from the Cincinnati Reds, headlined a group of star athletes from Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Basketball Association.
The Drive For Hope raised a total of $375,000 for Hope For The Warriors. According to a Hope For The Warriors official who spoke with Jason in Atlanta, the Drive For Hope event that was led by Forward Air now stands as the single largest fund-raiser in the history of the Hope For The Warriors organization. During his podcast interview, Jason also shares that Forward Air announced plans to make the Drive For Hope annual event, and Jason noted that ES has already planned to renew the company’s commitment to support the Drive For Hope in 2023.
“This was a powerful event and it was a very rewarding experience for our group at ES to be a part of it,” said Jason. “One of the things that I hope this event was able to do is send a message to veterans and their families that they’re not alone. They’re not isolated in their day-to-day life.
“The sacrifices they have made and continue to make for the commitment that they gave to this country are real. There’s no way to gloss over it. There’s no way at times to make it pretty,” Jason added. “Sometimes, their days are ugly and rough and harsh, and they have to live through it long after they come home from the battlefield. Our Team at ES would like all veterans and their families to know that we are extremely thankful for their service and sacrifice, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to be able to help veterans and their families through Hope For The Warriors and the Drive For Hope.”
Podcast: Jason Williams Discusses Drive For Hope Event
In this edition of the Success In Trucking Podcast Powered By ES, Jason Williams, the President and Co-Founder of ES, talks about the company’s participation in the Drive For Hope charity event, which was led by Forward Air. The Drive For Hope raised $375,000 for the Hope For The Warriors organization.
With this edition of Spotlight News, we are dedicating some time to honor our nation’s military veterans and their families. Through their military service, veterans protect the American way of life and veterans’ families support them in those efforts and in their sacrifices. Korean War Veteran Howard William Osterkamp, upon receiving his Purple Heart, is credited with first saying these often-quoted words regarding the dedication to service by our nation’s veterans: “All gave some; some gave all.”
There’s no question that veterans make important contributions to our country following their time in the service, and the positive impact that veterans have made within the trucking industry is a prime example. Dating back to the earliest part of the Baby Boomer era following World War II, trucking has provided countless veterans with career opportunities. Professional driving, which requires some of the same skills seen in the service, can be a great fit for veterans who are transitioning into post-military careers.
ES is proud to have a number of veterans who are part of the ES Community. As part of noting the utmost respect that ES holds for veterans and the families of veterans, Spotlight News recently conducted a podcast interview with Jeff Tacker from the ES Leadership Team. Jeff is the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Commercial Officer for Expediter Services.
During the podcast, you’ll hear Jeff share his family’s strong generational connection to the military, and you’ll also hear Jeff’s deep respect and admiration for veterans and their families. The podcast interview with Jeff also provided him with the opportunity to discuss one of the ways that ES is supporting veterans’ assistance efforts within the trucking industry.
As you will hear through the podcast, Jeff spends some time highlighting the veteran support initiatives established by Forward Air, which is a partner carrier in the ES Community. Forward Air has developed a veterans’ support initiative called Operation Forward Freedom.
One of the programs promoted and supported through Operation Forward Freedom is the non-profit organization Hope For The Warriors.
As you will hear Jeff discuss during the podcast interview, ES is a proud sponsor of the Drive For Hope, a program through Hope For The Warriors that Forward Air supports. The Drive For Hope is an innovative program that is dedicated to restoring driving independence to wounded service members through adaptive driving and rehabilitation.
